Westerville North High School’s boys basketball team are state champions after defeating Perry High School in the Ohio High School Athletic Association's Division II Boys Basketball State Championship on Friday.

WCSD Superintendent Angie Hamberg, Treasurer/CFO Nicole Marshall, Board President Kristy Meyer and Board Vice President Anisa Liban met with state officials to advocate for public school funding in the Ohio budget. 

The fifth-graders who make up Emerson Elementary’s student leadership team — The Changemakers — shared their findings and recommendations to help their peers feel like they belong to District leaders and elementary educators on Thursday.

Tony the Tiger® visited Heritage Middle School on Friday to celebrate the donation of 500 books through the Kellogg’s Feeding Reading® initiative and a partnership between Walmart and WK Kellogg Co to help foster a love of reading and improve literacy skills among middle school children.  

More than 120 Westerville elementary and middle school students built their own Lego designs as part of Westerville City Schools’ 19th Annual LEGO Competition on March 15 at Westerville North High School. 

Six WCSD high school students are finalists in the Workplace Skills Assessment Program’s national competition for projects they completed through the Delaware Area Career Center.
