The newest members at several Westerville City Schools elementaries have spent the past week starting to build relationships in their school communities.

The Westerville City School District Board of Education on Monday, July 8, 2024, voted unanimously to request additional funding for facilities and operations by placing a combined levy and bond issue on the Nov. 5 ballot. 

The Westerville City Schools’ new Strategic Plan serves as a road map to guide and prioritize the district’s most critical work in the coming years.

The Westerville City School District (WCSD) Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Angie Hamberg as the next Superintendent of Schools at Monday’s meeting.

The Westerville Education Foundation is among 10 recipients of a 2024 Meta Data Center Community Action Grant, which provides funding for nonprofits and schools to boost STEM education, improve communities through technology and help connect people online.

Amanda Ostendorf, an intervention specialist at Minerva France Elementary, is the recipient of the 2023-24 Special Education Professional Award by the Westerville Area Civitan Club.
